#EndPoliceBrutality🇳🇬

I couldn’t wait another day without writing on the wild things going on in Nigeria.

Nigeria is a country located on the western coast of Africa.

Nigerians have shared stories of how members of Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) engage in kidnapping, murders, theft, unlawful arrests, high-handedness, humiliation, extortion, torture, blackmail since 2012.

The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) is a branch of Nigerian Police Force unit under the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (FCIID) headed by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Anthony Ogbizi. The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) deals with crimes associated with armed robbery, car snatching, kidnapping, cattle rustling and crimes associated to firearms. The major reason Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) was formed was when Colonel Rindam, a Nigerian Army Colonel was killed by police officers at a checkpoint in Lagos, Nigeria. The Special Anti-Robbery Squad was founded in 1992 by former police commissioner, Simeon Danladi Miranda.

The youths of Nigeria are dying. Creatives are being hunted and gunned down in broad daylight.

It’s very heartbreaking watching the current happenings in Nigeria. Nigerian youths, I’m so sorry the government failed us.

How can we help:

•Keep creating awareness.

•If you’re not based in Nigeria but want to find out more, check out the #EndSarsProtests hashtag. But to warn you, some of the associated images are NSFW (Not safe for work) and are disturbing.

•How can prayers solve this issue? I’m here to tell you prayers solve everything. Every single thing. We all should try and pray to God about everything.

We should not have to seek for protection from the people that are meant to protect us.

Thank you. Thank you for standing in solidarity with us. Let’s continue to spread the word #EndSARS
