My Parent’s Silver Jubilee

On 23rd September 1995, my parents had their Traditional Marriage.

On 17th February 1996, their union was blessed in the church.

On 3rd July 1996, my elder siblings were born.

On 31st March 2001, Our favorite blogger was born.

On 23rd November 2006, my junior brother was born.

In my parent’s word, a union of two has metamorphosed into six!! πŸ’ƒπŸ½

My mother had always talked about celebrating her 25th Wedding Anniversary. It wasn’t much of a surprise when my mum officially announced that she’ll celebrate the silver jubilee of her marriage in December 2021.

We commenced with a photoshoot to mark the Silver Jubilee of my Parents. At first, it felt like it wasn’t going to pull through but to the faithfulness of God, not even the weather condition could stop the success of it. We were all super excited during the photoshoot. This picture says it all.

My sister came up with the idea of us surprising my parents some days before the Silver Jubilee/Thanksgiving Day. We began contributing money, made a list of our gifts to my parents and then some family members joined the group chat to help make the surprise a success.

This is the secret key to the heart of Nigerian parents β˜ΊπŸ˜….

On 24th December 2021, we successfully and happily surprised my parents. My parents were filled with so much joy. We presented a picture frame, magic cups and cake. The saxophonist opened the floor for the surprise, and we joined to share in the joy.

The day we have all been waiting for finally came! On 26th December 2021, my Parents celebrated 25 years of Marriage. I was feeling kind of nervous in the morning while I was wearing my cloths because I was thinking I may not meet up with time after all the planning. Then, I shaded off the negative feeling ❀. Before we left, we took some pictures at home.

Then, we went to church to thank God for 25 years of God’s Faithfulness πŸ’ƒπŸ½ and also cut the cake 😍.

Cutting of the Silver Jubilee Cake. p.s: This is the sweetest cake I’ve tasted this year 😩😍🀀.

We came back home for the reception. My Dad was the happiest man alive! 😩☺❀. We were happy and filled with joy πŸ’ƒπŸ½.

I can hype for the world 🀣.

I’m so grateful and blessed to be a part of this union. To celebrate my parent’s Silver Jubilee feels great. I pray God continues to give us countless reasons to smile, laugh and live happily together.

Our Favorite Blogger is drippin’ everything silver 😍.

Happy Silver Jubilee, Mum and Dad!πŸŽ‰πŸŽŠ I love you always and forever!! ❀
